I was thinking of getting a stopwatch of some sort so I can see how much time it takes me to complete a project. Even if I were to have a "full day" of knitting that includes me taking care of the dog, feeding the kids, doing the dishes, straightening up here or there, running to a store etc. I don't typically sit still for very long and so if it takes me a day and a half to do one sock, how many hours did I actually spend knitting on it? I'm really just curious. I am afraid I would try and beat a time because I tend to be competitive, even with only myself.
I guess my speed at knitting has increased gradually which would make a lot of sense. I noticed where it used to take me 2 and half days of "full knitting" for one basic sock, now it's only one.
In Ravelry news did anyone notice the little html badges for patterns on the number of projects tab? (they are all the way at the bottom.) There is always new cool stuff popping up there, I just love it. I added two the badges to the right sidebar. I'm going to keep those up there of the projects I'm working.

Wanted to share a picture
I'm going to take advantage of the three day weekend and being sick to just concentrate on working my projects including my lovely Lace Ribbon Scarf. Of course the pattern shows much better after it has been blocked. (picture from Knitty)
I had ripped this a few times because I the needles I used were too blunt and made the yarn all splitty. It is just flying along now.

Enjoy your weekend
I'm feeling under the weather and work is incredibly busy hence the lack of updates. Hope everyone has a great Friday and even better weekend.
Maybe I'll crawl out of my hole when I feel better...

Getting some work done
By work I mean knitting. :-) Working the Lace Ribbon Scarf which I am loving. Decided to cast on 35 in lieu of the 53 for a thinner scarf. Using markers between the repeats in case I make a mistake, it'll be easier to figure out where. Nice pattern, easy to read, and no mistakes. I do love those Veronik Avery designs! Pictures to come when I have a chance to snap them outside.
From now on I'm going to try and take the pictures outside so that I'll capture a better representation of true colors. I don't have the best camera but the pictures can still look better than they do. I was considering building a light box but who has the time for more projects?

Monday already
The Lace Ribbon KAL on Ravelry that I joined starts today. I'm going to try and give that project my full attention so I don't get left behind. Wanted to get some knitting in during work time as I observe an online facilitator but it's become a little more hands on than I would like. Everyone starts somewhere right?

Weighing my lack of options
I bought a scale that is on the way. I can also use it to weigh mail so it'll be a great business expense. ;-)
I'm looking forward to getting a precise weight of the yarn I purchased from Nanney Kennedy. No response at all to my email inquiring about my missing yardage. I won't do business with her again, no matter how lovely the wool is.
